Graduated in Advertising and, since 2004, after studying drawing and painting, has dedicated herself to the fine arts.
Her work focuses on a research around the human nature, and the role of socio-cultural contours in this process. Sofia uses different supports such as drawing, painting, performance and installation among others.
Her first solo exhibition was in 2009 at the Medeiros e Almeida Foundation in Lisbon and in 2016 Sofia participated in a collective exhibition at SESC
Ipiranga, in São Paulo curated by Maria de Fátima Lambert. Sofia has since than worked both in Portugal and in Brazil.
