There are moments when silence reveals more than any expression. When the face ceases to be a surface and becomes a landscape. For years, I have been tracing the boundaries of the invisible — the shape that feeling takes when it meets matter. Each line is a breath, each mark a pulse. I draw what cannot be seen: the instant when the soul tries to fit within the skin. Behind the Mask was born from the desire to shed everything that no longer belongs, roles, memories, old versions. To observe, with tenderness and courage, what exists beneath the layers that time and fear have built. The mask, here, is not a disguise; it is a bridge between the human and the sacred. A place where vulnerability takes form, where the gaze becomes a mirror, and the body turns into prayer. This series is a crossing, a movement between inside and outside, between what is shown and what is felt. An invitation to pure presence, to the truth that arises when we release our defenses and allow the being to reveal itself, whole, imperfect, luminous. Today, I understand that art is also a healing process. That each drawing is a silent offering, a return home. And that behind every mask, there is only this: a heart learning to be free.
